Mini isn’t taking its crossover lineup anywhere but forward these days, and a facelift for the tall Countryman seems next in line. We got details for the hot JCW variation of the Countryman several months back. However, a mid-cycle refresh is on the docket for the regular variation now.
2021 Mini Countryman Spy Shots
Spy pictures of the refreshed Countryman show all the exterior changes will be coming to the front and rear parts of the car. Everything else about the long and large Mini is remaining the very same. However, we might see some interior improvements in the name of technology. When it comes to what’s visible through the camouflage, the Countryman doesn’t appear to be going through anything radical in the front or back. The grille appears like it’s handling the same shape as the present Countryman.
Nevertheless, a few small changes to the lower front bumper are visible. Mini looks to be changing up the vents/intake design down there. We do not mind the car’s present style. However, this does not seem to be altering much anyhow.
2021 Mini Countryman Changes
The most apparent change outback is the car’s taillight style. It’s a different pattern on the curvy red light element. However, it’s not a Union Jack flag. Perhaps Mini will eventually tack the Union Jack on it. However, this model doesn’t wear the British pride on its hindquarters.
Maybe the huge takeaway here is more about the absence of changes Mini appears to have in store. We’ll be hoping the upgrade is heavy on tech and new features rather than real style changes. The Countryman went through a radical (big) renewal for the 2017 model year but hadn’t precisely lit the world on fire with sales because. Last year was the model’s finest year given that 2014, however, it’s still behind the model’s all-time best-selling years. We’ll expect this light refresh to strike us for the 2021 Countryman, so an expose sometime next year is likely.
